These thrilling short videos quickly attracted more than one million fans. On November 8, 2017, Wu Yongning unfortunately fell to his death while climbing Changsha Huayuan International Center.

　　How to effectively supervise video content, strengthen copyright protection, safeguard users’ rights and interests, and protect minors has become a problem that must be considered in the long-term development of the industry.

　　At the beginning of this year, the short video industry ushered in the "most stringent new regulations" in history. China Network Audio-visual Program Service Association issued "Management Standard of Network Short Video Platform" and "Detailed Rules of Network Short Video Content Auditing Standard". The former clearly pointed out that the network short video platform implements the system of reviewing program content before broadcasting. Therefore, the short video platform is required to play the role of "gatekeeper".

　　In addition, the "Regulations on the Management of Network Short Video Platforms" requires that the network short video platform should fulfill the responsibility of copyright protection, and it is not allowed to cut or adapt film and television dramas without authorization. The Detailed Rules for Auditing Standards of Network Short Video Content contains 100 auditing standards, including whether the title is in compliance, whether it involves pornography, whether it is suitable for minors and so on. At the end of last month, the Network Information Office and other three ministries and commissions jointly issued the "Regulations on the Management of Internet Audio and Video Information Services", which put forward clear requirements for providers and users of Internet audio and video information services, and the regulations will be implemented in January next year.
